NORTHERN LIGHT Yacht Charter

NORTHERN LIGHT is built for a different kind of cruising ground than most of the fleet. Her raised pilothouse design, a Hatteras signature from the late 1980s, puts the helm in an enclosed, elevated station with full visibility in the fog, rain, and shifting conditions that define the Pacific Northwest far more than they do the Mediterranean. This is a yacht designed around the waters she runs, not a warm-weather hull adapted to a colder one.

A 2018 refit brought her into current condition without erasing the classic Hatteras layout: three staterooms, a king, a double, and two twins, sleep six guests comfortably, while the full-beam salon and dedicated dining area give the interior real room to spread out on longer itineraries. With a cruising range of roughly 1,150 nautical miles, NORTHERN LIGHT can move through the San Juan Islands and the wider Pacific Northwest without the constant refueling stops a shorter-range yacht would need, useful in a region where marinas and services are spread further apart than in the Mediterranean island-hopping most charter yachts are built for.

She carries two tenders rather than the usual one, a 15-foot Novurania and a 13-foot Boston Whaler, along with kayaks, paddleboards, and a cockpit jacuzzi, giving guests real flexibility for exploring coves and the shoreline that the main yacht cannot reach. A crew of three runs the yacht throughout, and her years of charter history in these waters mean the operational side, permits, provisioning, and routing are already proven.
