PROJECT OMEGA Lurssen Project Under Construction

Moran Yacht & Ship has sold Project OMEGA, a 402′ (122.5m) Lurssen new construction superyacht due for delivery in 2029. She is our 25th Lurssen new build and the second we have built for this owner.

Moran sold the project, wrote the full technical specification, negotiated the contract and the project details, and will run build oversight through to delivery. OMEGA follows the 400′ (122m) Lurssen KISMET, which won Motor Yacht of the Year at the 2025 World Superyacht Awards.

Congratulations to the teams at RWD and the Lurssen shipyard. We anticipate an on-time, on-budget delivery in 2029.

Design & Naval Architecture

OMEGA’s exterior and interior are both designed by RWD, the British studio behind a number of well-known superyachts. At 5,200 GT, with a beam of 55’1″ (16.8m) and a draft of 14’9′ (4.5m), she will be one of the largest superyachts under construction anywhere in the world.

The layout sets grand entertaining spaces against smaller private areas across several decks. RWD has paired clean modern lines with warm, livable interiors built for long-range cruising and global travel.

Guest Experience

OMEGA will sleep 20 guests across 10 staterooms. Confirmed features so far include:

• A full-beam beach club with direct access to the water
• A dive center set up for both recreational and technical diving
• Large outdoor deck areas for entertaining, dining al fresco, and relaxing
• Generous tender and toy storage for a full range of watersports and shore trips

About the Build

Lurssen, based in Bremen, Germany, is one of the world’s leading custom superyacht builders, with a history spanning more than 145 years. The yard currently has multiple projects in various stages of build, several of them over 100 meters.

Moran’s construction management team works on-site at the shipyard throughout the build, representing the owner from steel cutting through sea trials and final delivery. The role goes beyond oversight: we sit between the owner’s vision and the yard’s execution to keep the project on schedule, on specification, and on budget.

OMEGA continues a relationship between Moran and Lurssen that goes back decades. Our Lurssen projects, nearly three dozen of them, include some of the most significant superyachts ever built, among them KISMET, delivered in 2024.
