118' Delta Marine Expedition Yacht PENELOPE for Sale

PENELOPE is a 118' (35.97m) Delta Marine expedition yacht, originally launched in 1990 and most recently refit in 2024 following an earlier major rework between 2006 and 2008. Formerly named Stampede and Princess Gloria, she was awarded Best Refitted Yacht at the World Superyacht Awards, establishing her pedigree as one of the most thoroughly re-engineered expedition platforms in her size range.

Constructed on a proven commercial fishing hull using GRP and a full-displacement form, PENELOPE carries the seakeeping and efficiency of a purpose-built ocean vessel. Delta Design Group added a 12-foot stern extension to create her signature fishing cockpit, giving her dual identity as a serious sportfishing mothership and a capable long-range cruiser. Twin Caterpillar 3412 TA diesels rated at 624 hp each (in-frame overhaul completed in 2016) deliver a 12-knot top speed and a 6,000-nautical-mile range at a 10-knot cruise, with a total burn of roughly 32 gph including one generator. She carries 20,000 gallons of fuel, 2,000 gallons of fresh water, and a dedicated 450-gallon gasoline refueling station for her tenders.

Accommodations host eight guests across four staterooms. The full-beam master features a king berth with an en-suite offering dual sinks and a separate shower. Two aft VIP cabins each have queen berths and en-suite heads with showers, and a forward twin cabin provides two singles with its own head. A convertible gym/office forward on the starboard side adds flexibility. Crew quarters support seven, including the captain's cabin with a private head, port and starboard crew cabins with shared heads, and a crew pantry with laundry.

Recent investment has kept PENELOPE operationally current. A new 65 kW Northern Lights night generator was installed in November 2025, joining two 75 kW Caterpillar 3306B service generators that received top-end rebuilds in 2022. A 70.5-kVA Atlas shore-power converter added in 2023 provides global voltage and frequency compatibility. The electronics suite is built for remote operation: dual Furuno NavNet radars and chartplotters, a Garmin GPS Map 840xs, a Simrad AP50 autopilot, Furuno sonar, AIS, KVH VSAT, and twin Starlink Maritime systems. Naiad 503 fin stabilizers (serviced 2021) and a 100 hp Schottel pump-jet bow thruster manage roll and close-quarters handling.

On deck, a hardtop flybridge with a full helm, Stidd chairs, a hot tub, and a wet bar sits above a boat deck carrying an 18'9" Egret and a 17' Hells Bay tender, a Sea-Doo GTX Limited 300 jet ski, plus kayaks and paddleboards handled by hydraulic cranes. The aft deck seats ten at a teak hi-lo dining table. Her professional-grade fishing cockpit is outfitted with 15 rod holders, a large livewell, fish boxes, ice chipper, bait freezer, and integrated tackle storage.
