HURACAN — 125' Delta Superyacht for Sale
HURACAN is a 125' (38.1m) Delta Marine expedition yacht was delivered in 1991 and, by Delta's own accounting, is a proven round-the-world platform. Naval architecture and exterior styling are by Delta Design Group and John Schubert, laid over a full-displacement fiberglass hull with a Portuguese bridge, Naiad stabilizers, and the scale of tankage (26,494 gallons of fuel and 5,700 gallons of fresh water) that gives her a 7,000-nautical-mile range at 11 knots. Delta Marine of Seattle has spent four decades turning out yachts for owners who intend to actually use them in remote places, and HURACAN has the operating history to match.
What makes her interesting in today's market is the scope of recent investments layered onto that pedigree. Her twin Caterpillar 3508 main engines have been fully overhauled and upgraded to the electronic Turbo Diesel specification, with matching transmission overhauls completed at the same time. New air conditioning was installed throughout (one 18-ton, one 8-ton, and two 6-ton units), and she received new Furuno electronics across the helm, including TZ2 multifunctional radar, GPS, AIS, and autopilot. Fresh hull paint, new galley appliances, new carpeting throughout, and a new Apple-based audio-visual storage and sound control system round out the work. The interior by GTH Design Techniques supports a large-capacity layout across eight cabins with accommodation for up to 12 guests and five crew.
HURACAN offers a recently re-engined, soft-refit explorer on a hull with real ocean mileage behind her, a rare pairing at this price point. She is currently located in La Paz, Mexico, and available for viewing by appointment.
