GAEL I Yacht Charter

GAEL I carries the signature of Philip Rhodes, the American naval architect whose lines defined a generation of classic sailing yachts, built in wood at the Abeking & Rasmussen yard in 1962. For decades she belonged to a French count and his family, who sailed her across the Caribbean before returning her to the Mediterranean in 2011. That single-family ownership history shows in detail rarely found on a charter yacht her age: Siam teak planking, a wood hull reinforced with bronze fastenings, and a varnished teak superstructure kept to a standard that has carried her into the classic racing fleet at regattas including the Puig Vela Clàssica Barcelona.

Guests board a 76-foot yacht built for the slow pleasures of sailing rather than speed, with a wide aft deck banquette for al fresco dinners and sun pads built into the pilothouse roof for open-air lounging underway.
