The best time for a monaco yacht charter is during the summer months, when the weather is at its finest and the Mediterranean Sea is warm and inviting. The shoulder seasons, spring and fall, are also excellent times to visit, with milder temperatures and fewer crowds. High season runs from July through August.

The charter fee for a luxury yacht charter in Monaco starts at around US$200,000 per week and rises well beyond one million for the world’s finest superyachts, depending on the size of the vessel, the itinerary, and the length of the charter. On top of the base charter fee, an Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA) covers variable costs such as fuel, berthing fees, and provisioning (food and drinks). The APA is typically around 10% of the base charter rate, paid in advance. The captain will manage these costs throughout the charter and provide a full breakdown at the end. Any remaining funds are refunded promptly. You’re welcome to ask the captain for an APA update at any point during your trip.

The amenities on your charter yacht will depend on the size of the vessel, but Moran’s Monaco fleet includes some of the world’s finest yachts. The number of crew members scales with the size of the vessel: smaller yachts will typically have at least three crew (captain, deckhand, and stewardess), while the largest superyachts can carry a crew of 20 or more, including dive masters, sommeliers, spa therapists, personal trainers, and a full culinary team.

Port Hercules

Without question, one of the world’s most iconic glamorous ports, Port Hercules is a natural deep-water harbor just moments from Monte-Carlo. With depths ranging from 5 to 40 meters, it can accommodate the world’s largest mega yachts and offers superb facilities, including the Monaco Yacht Club designed by architect Lord Norman Foster.

Port of Fontvieille

A smaller, well-protected harbor located in the district of Fontvieille on the French border. Berths here are reserved in advance, and it does not accept transiting vessels.

Port of Cala del Forte

Monaco’s newest marina, located just over the border in Ventimiglia, Italy. It offers world-class facilities with luxury shops, restaurants, and a shipyard on the waterfront, and is connected to Port Hercules by regular high-speed shuttles reserved exclusively for marina guests.

Getting to Monaco: 

Most charter guests fly into Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, which is served by multiple international commercial airlines and has private jet facilities. The most seamless way to transfer to Monaco is by helicopter: landing either at the Fontvieille helipad or directly on your charter yacht if it has a helipad or touch-and-go facilities.
