The Hatteras 58 Convertible has held its reputation as a serious canyon and Bahamas boat for more than thirty years. This 1990 example, lying in Coral Gables, is a clean look at why. Backing them up: Furuno 96 NM radar, Northstar 952X GPS at three stations, Standard Horizon VHF, a Robertson AP200DL autopilot, and CCTV on two engine room cameras. Aft bridge deck and tower stations both have full helm control.

Recent work reads the way you want it to on a boat this age. Sea Hawk Cukote ablative bottom paint and Propspeed. New aft cutlass bearings on the struts, new rudder zincs. Battery bank renewed in September 2025 with a Victron Energy 24V charger. New generator fuel pumps. Both mains got new heat exchanger plates and raw water elbows, with coolant fluids fully replaced. Shafts and rudders were repacked, stainless rudder packing bolts in, and she got a full hull polish on the way out.

Safety is current and complete: Kidde Halon fixed suppression in the engine room, an 8-person Viking life raft with hydrostatic release, ACR EPIRB with battery good through July 2035, and flares through 2028.
