IDUNA — 110' Feadship Superyacht for Sale
Launched in 1939 from the De Vries yard in Aalsmeer to a design by Henri de Voogt, IDUNA was the largest Feadship built until 1960 and remains one of the most historically significant classic sailing yachts afloat today. Originally commissioned by Dutch shipping magnate Philippus van Ommeren III, this steel-hulled ketch motorsailer underwent a painstaking three-year rebuild from 1998 to 2000 at the Classic Yacht Darsena yard in Viareggio, Italy, led by the same multinational team later responsible for the restoration of the legendary gaff cutter Lulworth. A further refit in 2022 ensures she meets modern standards while preserving her extraordinary provenance.
IDUNA accommodates six guests in three en-suite cabins, including a sophisticated owner's stateroom, a double, and a twin. Her interior pairs rich mahogany and teak joinery with subtle fabrics and modern conveniences like air conditioning and audiovisual systems, all integrated without compromising the vessel's period character. Original features abound on deck: the main mast, skylights, compass, anchor winch, and steering wheel all date to her 1939 launch. A single 340 hp Caterpillar diesel delivers a cruising speed of 9 knots and a top speed of 11 knots, with a range of 1,500 nautical miles. Classified as a yacht d'époque and eligible for classic regattas, IDUNA is currently lying in Valencia, Spain.
