Moran Yacht & Ship Sells 109′ Mangusta GranSport 33 M/Y MYSTERE

Moran Yacht & Ship is pleased to announce the sale of M/Y MYSTERE, a 2023 Mangusta GranSport 33 measuring 109’3″ (33.3m). Also known as the Mangusta 109, this Italian performance yacht attracted strong interest from the moment she hit the market. The transaction was completed by Tommy Gurr and Travis Motta of Moran Yacht & Ship, working alongside corresponding brokers.

MYSTERE represented one of the more compelling opportunities we’ve seen in the 100-foot-plus segment: a nearly new build with over $1,000,000 in owner upgrades, just 235 engine hours on the clock, and transferable engine warranties through 2028. She was in turnkey condition at the time of sale.

Why the Mangusta 109 GranSport 33 Stands Out

For buyers considering a Mangusta yacht for sale in the 100-to-110-foot range, the GranSport 33 deserves serious attention. Built by Overmarine Group at their Viareggio yard in Italy, the GranSport 33 is one of 12 hulls launched since the model’s introduction — a production run that speaks to consistent demand from experienced owners.

The exterior is the work of Alberto Mancini, whose design language for the GranSport line balances aggressive styling with practical volume. The raked bow, panoramic glazing, and low-profile superstructure give the boat a distinctly modern silhouette, while the 24’3″ beam creates interior space that punches well above what you’d expect at 109 feet.

What truly defines the GranSport 33 is the propulsion package. Four Volvo Penta IPS 1350 pods, each driven by a Volvo Penta D13-1000 diesel producing roughly 1,000 horsepower, deliver a combined 4,000 hp through contra-rotating duoprop propellers. The result is a cruising speed of 21 knots, a top end of 25 knots, and — critically — the maneuverability and efficiency advantages that IPS systems are known for. Joystick docking on a 109-foot yacht changes the ownership experience in meaningful ways.

What Set This Mangusta GranSport 33 Apart

The standard GranSport 33 is already a well-specified yacht. MYSTERE’s original owner invested over $1,000,000 in additional upgrades and customization that elevated her well beyond the production baseline.

The on-deck master suite is one of the standout features of the GranSport 33 layout, and at approximately 40 square meters, it’s among the widest in this size class. MYSTERE’s master was finished in clean white and neutral tones accented with colorful artwork—a departure from the darker wood interiors common in Italian builds of this vintage.

The flybridge spans roughly 56 square meters and includes air conditioning capability, a feature that makes it genuinely usable for extended entertaining in South Florida’s climate. Forward, a glass-fronted Jacuzzi pool sits on the bow with surrounding sunbeds and optional shade. Aft, an extended swim platform opens to a garage for water toys.

Throughout the yacht, a Sonance sound system provides coverage in the main saloon, staterooms, and on the bridge deck. The galley features Miele appliances, and there’s a Miele professional laundry setup for crew use. Starlink connectivity keeps guests and crew connected offshore, while Quantum Waveless stabilizers manage comfort both at anchor and while traveling.

Maintenance was current at the time of sale. The annual shipyard service had been completed with a fresh bottom paint application, stabilizer servicing, and the 400-hour engine maintenance interval addressed across all four Volvo Pentas.

Mangusta 109 Interior Layout and Accommodations

MYSTERE sleeps 10 guests across five staterooms: the on-deck master, one VIP cabin, two double cabins, and a twin. All five staterooms have ensuite heads. Crew quarters accommodate up to five.

The main deck features an open-plan saloon with a formal dining table and expansive glazing that floods the space with natural light. The aft deck serves as a second living area with al fresco dining and direct access to the swim platform below.

For the GranSport 33, the balance between guest space and performance is one of the model’s strongest arguments. Ten guests, five crew, 25 knots, and enough range to cover the Bahamas from Fort Lauderdale without thinking about fuel stops. That combination is difficult to find at 109 feet.
