Furthermore, we have built such luxurious cruise ships, high speed passenger ferries and a pure car carriers.
Employing the very latest technologies, we continually aim to develop the hull forms that offer a high performance and an outstanding saving on energy consumption, as well as highly reliable structures and also to enhance economical efficiency, reliability, and safety through such a development as contra-rotationg propellers and maritime safety systems. Our advanced technology used in our repairing and conversion work has been of paramount importance in ensuring substantial economic improvements, as well as a safe working environment in the shipbuilding industry.
Our Marine Structures Division manufactures various equipment, facilities and systems related to marine research, survey and development, as well as offshore oil and gas production. We also manufacture and develop a broad range of products abreast of the social demands such as expansion and efficient development of port facilities, exploration and recovery of ocean resources and offshore oil field, utilization of marine space and prevention of ocean pollution. Furthermore, in recent years, we built deep-sea research systems such as a manned research submersible, while exerting our efforts into development of underwater working systems and deep-sea scientific riser drilling vessel.
